FAQ
No! If you have no previous experience, it is strongly recommended that you start at the Line Dancing 101/Intro level. The Electric Slide and Cupid Shuffle does not constitute experience, It is not fair to the other dancers in the next levels to slow their normal pace to accommodate a dancer without line dance knowledge.
Wear anything comfortable! Layering is always the best option and/or bring a lightweight jacket just in case. Make sure pant legs are not dragging on the floor that may cause you to trip. We may dress for holidays but it's never required.
Cowboy boots are never required but are still preferred by many. You need shoes that provide support and are comfortable first of all. Next, they need to allow you to slide and turn on the vinyl tile floors that we have. Flip flops are never good.
You may register for any class at the door, but you will save time if you pre-register online. Then, you will pay at bar.
The VFW accepts cash, checks and Venmo.
A new 9-week course will be starting in Winter, Spring and Fall, with each class lasting a minimum of 60 minutes, depending on the dances taught. The price is $6 per class or pay either $48 in advance or on the first night for all 9 classes and save. This class is open to adults, any age, or mature teens 14 and above. Exact starting dates and time TBD, but typically are on Wednesdays at 5:30. See above FAQ for payments and registration. Please contact me if you wish to join but have missed the first two classes.
New steps will be taught each week to various tempos and genres of music, then build upon those steps for the next class. It will be greatly beneficial to commit to all 9 classes, so you don’t fall behind. Once you have mastered the basic steps, you can easily progress to other classes anywhere.
The class will begin promptly, so please allow ample time to sign in, pay and grab something to drink or eat. Food (limited), snacks and drinks, including a full bar are always available.
