12:00 to 12:30 High Improver/Intermediate.
12:30 to 1:30 Improver, with some easier ones thrown in here and there. Many dances will repeat in my regular class on Thursday which will help re-enforce the teach.

When Debi Robbins is in town, she and I will be co-teaching.
Wednesdays: Intro to Line Dancing/Line Dancing 101
Meets for a 9 week session in Winter, Spring and Fall, 5:30 to 6:45

FALL 2024 CLOSED - NEXT CLASS IN JAN 2025
Line Dancing 101/Intro is for those no experience in steps or terms and possibly any who have not danced in quite a while. It is a progressive class meaning steps taught each week be used again, then adding new ones. Dances are taught to various genres (country, pop, latin) and rhythms (including Cha, Rumba and Waltz) It will work best for those than can commit to all 9 weeks. You will be encouraged to view demos / teaches for dances each week.
My goal for you is learn the steps, not so much the dance. This should enable to go anywhere, watch an easy dance, identify most or all of the steps, then jump in and have the confidence to give it a try. Fun becomes a given.
Thursdays: Easy Beginner, Beginner and Beyond Beginner
Meets weekly at 12:00, 1:00 and 2:00 respectively
Pricing: $5 for 1 hour, $7 for 1.5 hours, $9 for 2 hours, $10 for 2.5 hours, $11 for 3 hours. When possible, I will try to schedule easier dances during the first 1/2 hour of each class, for those that overlap classes.
Easy Beginner is for those with some previous experience in line dancing and are familiar with the basic steps. These steps include: vine, K, L, V, jazz box (plain and turning), pivots, rocking chair, step locks, points, holds, struts, bumps, along with simple syncopation. A basic understanding of Cha, Rumba and Waltz rhythms is helpful. All are done with frequent repetition and minimal turns. Tags and restarts will be rare.
Beginner is for those familair with the basic steps of the Easy Beginner class. Other steps such as scissor, monterrey, mutiple turns, switches will be taught as well as slightly more difficult combinations of steps, turns and syncopation. Dances with tags and restarts will be be more frequent and rhythms/steps of Tangos and Sambas will be introduced.
Beyond Beginner is for those with a solid understanding of most all dances steps, rthythms and genres of music. Faster tempo dances with more difficult step/turn combinations and syncopation will be taught. Most dances will be Improver level, with some Intermediate.
